We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, birthday, account preferences, saved places, alerts, and clips you post. We also collect technical information needed to operate the service, such as device, app, browser, and log data.
2. Location, camera, and media
Location is optional. If you allow it, we use it to show nearby nightlife, calculate distance, verify proximity for certain contributions, and support location-based alerts. If you capture a photo or video in the app, we process that media to publish it to the place you selected. If you enable “Save my captures to Photos,” a copy is also saved to your device’s photo library.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide Litmap, authenticate accounts, display places and community activity, personalize alerts, maintain security, investigate misuse, communicate with you, and improve the service.
4. Who we share information with
We share information with service providers that help run Litmap, including authentication, data storage, email, hosting, push-notification, and map providers. Public clips, alerts, and place activity are visible to other Litmap users as part of the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect people, our rights, or the security of the service.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Retention
We keep account information and user content for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain limited records after account deletion when necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
6. Your choices
You can control location, camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in your device settings. You can update account preferences in Litmap and request account deletion from the profile area. You may also contact us through the app or website with privacy questions or requests.
7. Children
Litmap is for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Litmap changes. We will post the current version here and update its effective date.
